Scott Riddle

COO

Process Oriented, Results Driven, Data Driven Doer.

As Chief Operating Officer I am responsible for producing results both for our clients and shareholders. We need to find efficiencies for both. Since the bulk of our client spend is on transportation, that is the first area of focus as we can have the largest impact there. We also need to use the massive amount of data that we have to drive intelligent business decisions for our clients. Most are looking for ways to deliver their orders faster to their end customers while spending less to do it. Our network is uniquely positioned to do that both from a location and transportation services standpoint. In addition we need to further expand our platform to service our clients larger aspirational needs in retail distribution.

My father was in the air force and after hanging up his wings as a recon pilot, he had a career in military logistics, moving men and machines around the world in support of our military. So you may say that I have it in my blood. I am an odd duck in this space as my passion is in the numbers, with a strong background in math, finance and analytics. I came up as a management trainee in the business and that has proved to be invaluable as through that program, I learned all the operational and support areas of the Transportation and Logistics business.  I really love problem solving and that is what this business is all about, finding solutions for our clients, finding ways to improve year after year. I spent a part of my career in sales and sales management and that has really helped me understand the client side of the business. I have also developed products and services from the ground up everywhere I have been.

I enjoy golf with friends on the weekend- the only thing I bet on is myself and golf is a sport that supports that competitive spirit of testing yourself under pressure. Other than that I really love my work and spend much of my free time thinking about creative solutions to challenging problems that face our business and our clients business. I think that there is almost always a way to get things done, if you are willing to challenge the status quo.

I won numerous sales awards, became the youngest sales manager in one business. Became the youngest company COO, youngest President in another and so on. Most importantly I have set and met a long list of personal and professional goals and challenges.  Other interesting notes: I have won poker tournaments, skeet shooting contests and numerous golf tournaments. I tend to rise to the challenge under pressure.
