As a leader in finance, mentoring my team is one of the most important aspects of my role. Sharing knowledge makes stronger contributors. We strive for accuracy, timeliness, and helpful reporting to all the company's teams and leadership. With continued process improvements and increased efficiency, we want to be a valuable source of information to our fellow employees and clients.

My vision for ShipNetwork is growth and success while offering our clients excellent services and that we show our commitment to our clients by always having an eye for opportunity and improvement. To be a great and rewarding workplace by providing meaningful incentives, a learning and cooperative environment, and career advancement for employees that seek it.

I've worked in finance since 2003, and during my journey, I've learned that the willingness to be flexible and accept change brings in opportunities, and recognizing and navigating roadblocks opens doors you didn't know existed. I joined ShipNetwork at the Staff Accountant level while pursuing my 2nd bachelor's degree in Accounting. I continued to show how I could take on each new challenge, which has led my path from Assistant Controller to Controller.

My most recent hobbies for the past few years have been salsa/bachata dancing, cardio kickboxing, with some obstacle course races and 5k races sprinkled in. But really, I'm a homebody at heart, and my love of gaming, sci-fi/fantasy movies/tv/books has never waned.

I've moved up from a role as a Staff Accountant to Assistant Controller to Controller within two years of starting at ShipNetwork. I've built my team from the ground up and am very proud of what we've accomplished!
