Building Partnerships that Last, One Storage Room at a Time

Building Partnerships that Last

Nutraceuticals require special attention when it comes to warehouse storage. While refrigeration or climate control is not always required for nutraceutical supplements, the natural storage environment should be within an ideal temperature range for maximum product freshness and shelf-life. Depending on external factors, the solution can be simple or require a little extra work.

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to work with a leading nutraceutical company and we couldn't be more thrilled to get started! We admired the company's quality approach to product research and development, and their commitment to exceptional customer service. Since our corporate values were perfectly aligned, we knew the company was destined for great success and we were excited to be their new fulfillment partner.

As time went by, their business quickly grew, and we grew and scaled with them. Soon, their fast-paced growth called for the addition of a new warehouse, in a new geographic region. We suggested moving to one of our other Western eCommerce fulfillment centers. Deciding to expand to a third fulfillment center would lower shipping costs and allow for 2-day delivery with ground shipping.

The client decided to move into one of our eCommerce fulfillment centers in Nevada, where external temperatures can reach upwards of 110 degrees. While the temperature in certain US regions maintains a year-round temperature between 55 and 85 degrees, warehouses in areas with warm climates need to actively control temperature to maintain optimal storage conditions for temperature-sensitive products.

We had to take extra precautions inside the warehouse for the client's new inventory by regulating temperature in a special temperature-modified environment. So what did we do? We designed a storage room, specifically with their inventory needs in mind.

Going above and beyond to meet our client's needs is what allows us to form valuable, long-term partnerships. We take great pride in the trust that is given to us with every new client and treat their business as if it were our own.

If you’re looking to expand to new eCommerce fulfillment centers, determine what location makes the most sense in terms of logistics (proximity to shipping ports, customers, and existing warehouses). Then be sure to take into consideration the natural weather climate in that area. Regions with extreme weather patterns can affect the makeup of products that otherwise would be suitable in mild weather regions. Talk to the tenant or vendor, analyze any storage requirements necessary to maintain product freshness, and be sure a solution is in place before making the big move with a new fulfillment partner.
